The Crumble Effect
The crumble effect, as seen on the home page, was created using primarily Adobe After Effects. The background on the lower left was created using Photoshop. The lower right depicts the title placeholder, which displays the desired text.
Below is the shatter effect (left) created to play over the text. On the right is colored dust that was created to make it seem like the shattered pieces were kicking up dust.
All of the layers were then combined to produce the final product, featured below.
